    - Bas Bron, Amsterdam, Netherlands

  • "I have to say that out of all the synths I've had (that's a lot btw...) this one is by far the most fun to use."
    - Dustin Stroh, USA

  • "Just got my SidStation and I love it. I have a studio full of gear, many synths old and new, and the SidStation is a great addition. It's like nothing else, and that's a fantastic and rare thing. What you people have done is a tribute to innovative thinking and retro tech alike."
    - J.J. Abrams, Los Angeles, California, USA

  • "Well I've had a chance to play with the SidStation and I'm blown away! I can't seem to make any sounds that aren't interesting. I like to listen to the noise it makes when it's just siting there, it's like a lo-fi heart beat."
    - Clay Morrow, Los Angeles, California, USA

  • "I just wanted to thank you for the quick delivery. I ordered the SidStation on Wednesday and recieved it the next Monday - excellent service!
I have now been playing around with my SidStation for about a week, and I only can say I am totally fascinated and that I love this machine!! When I first heard the soundclips on your site i could not really believe in the spectrum of sounds the SID is able to create. now i got my own machine and it is unbelievable which extreme wide spectrum of sound the SID covers!!!!
Thank God and Elektron for giving us the SidStation!!!!!"

    - Dennis Schürger, Remscheid, Germany

  • "Just wanted to let you know that I've been having a great time with the SidStation. Thanks for creating such a bizzarre, unique electronic life form. It's been a while since an instrument has sparked my creativity in such a way. I've been in "mad scientist" mode for the last couple of weeks and have come up with some very cool patches. Looking forward to checking out the new OS."
    - Jerry Schroeder, Redmond, USA

  • "I love this machine it is so unbelieveable! I go to work half awake everyday because of late night programming. What your team has designed is remarkable and I am positive will make a significant mark in the history of electronic musical devices!!!"
    - Marcos Raya, Chicago, USA

  • "I just received my SidStation on Monday and I *love* it. I've been obsessively creating patches full of percussive effects and sequences thanks to the "tables" implementation. It feels (and sounds) like the good ol' days of tracking on the C64, only taken to a whole new level! This box is certainly going to take my music in new directions (as the C64 did when I first started coding in the 80's). Great job!!"
    - Eric Weik, USA

  • "She's beautifull! I have never herd such a sweet sound. it's like angels singing, and then, click a switch and it's totally different, like a lion ready to strike! I havn't ever wanted a synth as much as the SidStation and now here it is, I'm in experimant with the switches mode, trying to edit sounds from scratch and it's pretty easy to do! Thanks for bringing the SidStation to the musical community!"
    - Kristian Whawell, UK

  • "This rare beauty is based on the 6581 chip also known as the Sid chip of the old classical home computer Commodore 64. Made in Sweden and of a very unusual sound. The OS is still in beta but it can sure make some VERY fat sounds."
    - Björn Fogelberg, Sweden

  • "She's lovely! Love at the first sight! She's well builded. Nice work."
    - Frederic Aidouni, France

  • "I finally received my SID Station and it is even more addictive than I though it would be! It looks stylish, almost timid, yet it roars like no other!"
    - Ernie Deaks, San Francisco, USA

  • "I am overall very impressed...! A combination of nostalgia and shock which have given me overall a ton of new ideas."
    - Neil D Voss, Florida, USA

  • "The SidStation causes me trouble. What I mean is this: because of the SIDStation, I started hating the filters of my Akai sampler. I'm now using the external input on the SID a lot."
    - Joeri Vankeirsbilck, Sound producer, NBDJ, 2 Unlimited, Belgium

  • "I've had a few days to play with it, and it's great. I'm really glad I got one. Congratulations to you and the entire group for a great idea well executed.
    - Scott McCaulay, USA

  • "You know, the Sidstation is one of the coolest synths I've ever heard, and I got mine yesterday!!!"
    - Morten Karolius, Norway

  • "Thank you for the most wonderful, fun, nostalgy producing, inspiring synthesizer ever! An extra plus for the apperance as well! My silvery SidStation is wonderful, and I discover new possibilities all the time."
    - Thomas "Massen" Holmström, Sweden

  • "I've got the SidStation and it's gorgeous."
    - Monotrona, NY, USA

  • "Thanks a lot for this brilliant machine! The sidstation arrived this morning and I played around with it the whole day, i made some sounds and felt like i am 12 years old again!"
    - Axel Brümmer, Singen, Germany

  • "I've got a SidStation and I am absolutely delighted about it. It is my second sound gear from Sweden - after the NordModular. Herewith I send a big compliment to a few Swedish genius."
    - Christian Gehrig, Basel, Switzerland

  • "Thanks for making such an interesting synth! You've made something that will make a lot of people happy...not just the people who bought the SidStation, also the people who will listen to music made with the SidStation!
I'm sure I'll be using the SidStation's noise a lot...It doesn't sound like noise from anything else.
With synth sounds, I especially dig the way the timbre can change so drastically over a long period of time. It adds a lot of depth to arpeggiated parts.
    [...]
The new OS is great. absolutely amazing. The ability to sync everything to the Midi Clock makes the SidStation so much more useful. I have been very happy with its external filtering and wavetable functions...they both fit in so well with the music I make.
THANKS AGAIN, SIDFOLKS! YOUR SYNTH IS TERRIFIC!

    - David Heagle, New York, USA

  • "It is an incredible little box with that unique 6581 sound. I will probably waste many an hour playing around with patch-editing. ;) I am very, VERY glad you guys crafted this synthesizer. I hope others out there discover it and help reward you for your efforts!
    [...]
Again, this is a well-crafted box, and I just want to make sure you guys know I appreciate all the work you've put into producing this marvelous realization of the 6581."

    - Cliff Young, Washington DC, USA

  • "It`s Well made. _Looks_ Hand made, but little touches like the metal power socket and the cute animations on the Supertwist display Imply this machine has been loved from conception.
    [...]
It`s when you start Locking the 3 Osc`s together and detuning, ringmodding and so on that it appears to be a bit of a wild one!
    [...]
The 3 Oscs can be made effect each others PW etc.. in the trad. way, and combined with individual settings for PB amount, a simple patch can be made take off in a wierd way when PB is introduced. I made a simple patch for use as a "rise" in a choon this week - the note is a gurgling cello type drone untill the PB lifts the Pitches into a tasty 5 - 7 - 12 tuning offset - sweet with 99% regen. on a cheapo delay - major "engage warp drive" noise!!
    [...]
The OSCs are Di*ital, and the Filer Analogue, and it immediatly has a style like no other box. Mad "clocked" sounds await you. Fast repeating lumps of sound fall effortlessly from SidStation - very Video Game and very unpredictable! And the Sound is nothing short of solid in the mix. It sounds quite Hard and dark and punches through even the busiest soundscape with ease.. probably due to it sounding so different to the other stuff i use... err.. okay then.. it`s down to the raw sound of the Oscs, and i mean RAW. Blisteringly LoFI Di*ital With more then a hint of Analogueness - in fact, it`s these types of "hoover" (Translatin` for our American Cuzinz: "Hoover" = "Mom`s old upright Vacum Cleaner") sounds i require these days for my punctuation sounds - you know.. the type of sound that _could_ be a musical note if it went to night school, but seems to behave better like tuned noise - especially the SquareWave combos.. Hard as Ceramic! It`s difficult to describe this sound people, sorry, but it really is unique in the mix. You know the way you can spot a Sh101 at 50 paces?? Well the SidStation has it`s own sound, and it`s like Nothing I`ve heard so far - the shocking thing is, usually it`s months with a synth before i find a sound it does that is unique, With Sid i did it on the 3rd patch - and it wasn`t the clever patching that did it - it was something you could do on any decent MonoSynth - The SidStation just Sounded Unique with even a simple patch dialed in!"

  • "Does it work?
    Resoundingly yes.
    Does it kick much ass?
    Aweseomly yes.

Give everyone my enthusiastic thumbs-up on the SIDStation. I wish I could buy everyone a drink or take them out for a night of debauchery; the people who made this possible for me should enjoy themselves as much as I am at my expense. Perhaps when I'm touring over in Sweden? The business associates who've snuck in to admire the Station were absolutely floored by its high-quality construction. They were also hugely impressed with the LCD display and particularly (and we all know how much the OS truly determines the Love/Hate relationship with any object) the beautifully- thoughtout Operating System itself. They were lining up to rip through the menus and spin the rotary know and begin the twiddling trilling of the knobs. As for comments on the sound, the response has been astounding. People are blown away. A Different Synthesizer, for sure.

People are jealous. People are envious. Already. I love it.

I've been so deep into the SIDStation this past week (or since it arrived) that I've neglected virtually ever aspect of my life except for restroom breaks, trips to the refrigerator, and passing out in a back room. Go figure. I'm obsessed. Got that OS mapped out in my head like a tattoo on the arm."
